Caspian Pipeline Consortium-Kazakhstan (CPC-K JSC) presented a project for modernization of five chemistry classrooms for three rural schools in Atyrau Region as part of its charitable programs.
The renovated specialized classrooms have been opened at the secondary school named after Yessenbay Ageleuov in Makhambet village, the secondary school named after Gabitolla Masalimov in Isatai village, and the secondary school named after Kh. Senbayev in Makat village.
The ceremony for transfer of the chemistry classrooms, which took place at the secondary school named after Yessenbay Ageleuov in Makhambet village, was attended by representatives of the Department for Relations with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan at CPC-K JSC, heads of the education sector of Atyrau Region, and school directors.
Senior students have already been studying in the new classrooms, which were demonstrated during the event. They are equipped with an interactive whiteboard, laboratory installations, and sets of chemical reagents. All equipment and furniture have been adapted for conducting laboratory sessions for students in grades 7–11. Thanks to this setup, schoolchildren can not only study theory but also carry out real experiments, which is especially important for students specializing in the chemistry and biology direction. In total, more than 2,800 children study in the schools that received the equipment for chemistry classroom.
Marat Abuov, Head of the Education Department of Atyrau Region, believes that this project fully aligns with the objectives of the state program “Children of Kazakhstan” and contributes to providing rural pupils with equal access to quality education.
“Today, it is especially important that lessons be illustrative and interesting with the use of practical experiments and modern methods. The chemistry classrooms in the rural schools of Atyrau Region fully meet these requirements. It is important, that they have active teachers who are ready for experiments and in-depth scientific work together with their students within the framework of the school curriculum On behalf of the Akim of the region, we express our gratitude to CPC-K for its significant contribution to the development of new formats for studying the natural sciences in public schools,” the Head said.
Kairgeldy Kabylgin, Deputy General Director for Relations with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan at CPC-K JSC, reported that the company invests over 1.5 milliard tenge annually in the social sector of Atyrau Region, implementing charitable projects in healthcare, education, ecology, culture, and sports.
“We pay special attention to the support of the education sector. Last year, we completed construction of a large facility — a school for 900 places in the new Talgairan microdistrict of Atyrau. We are launching a project for building build a kindergarten in Alga village, Makhambet district. This year, we have also placed emphasis on creating conditions for acquiring relevant applied knowledge in the natural sciences at rural schools. The modern chemistry classrooms we are transferring to schools today will help adolescents decide on their professional future and take a step towards oil and gas specialties,” Kairgeldy Kabylgin noted.
The total value of the charitable project, delivered with the administrative support of the AYALA Foundation, amounted to KZT 78.6 million.
